Welcome to Flushing Valley Golf and Country Club

Congratulations!

Your decision to check out Flushing Golf and Country Club could result in years of enjoyment for you and your family. We hope you take the time to learn more about us.

Flushing Valley Golf and Country Club is Genesee County’s “Best Kept Secret”. Our golf course is an exciting test of golf with small greens and narrow fairways. While playing, you must traverse the Flint River twice using our "Little Mac" bridge. Our Club House is a new facility with a Member’s Grill Room, and a large banquet area for Club functions and outside banquets. The Club House also contains the Locker Rooms, the Office, and the Pro Shop.

However, our greatest asset is actually our “People”.  By “people” I am referring not only to our employees but also to our members. Our office, house, pro shop and grounds staff consist of highly dedicated professionals who are always available to serve your needs. Our General Manager oversees the entire operation and is available to discuss any concerns or questions you may have. Membership is made up of a diverse group of fun-loving, warm, caring, interesting, and successful people. The friends you will make at FVCC will undoubtedly be the most significant reward of your membership.

If there is one piece of advice I could offer to every new member, it would be to become involved at FVCC. While this is obviously necessary to the function of any Club, I urge you to get involved because it will enhance your enjoyment of FVCC.  The saying “you only get out of it what you put into it” definitely applies here.

Golfing Events

Golf is the main order of business at FVCC, and our golfing program and facilities are as good as or better than any in the area.  A high level of quality in all things related to golf is the product of a dedicated and expert staff.  It is also the result of member participation in the maintenance of the course and it’s buildings, The members, working in committees, also assist the staff in the planning and organization of all functions at the Club. FVCC is fortunate to have a highly dedicated club professional to manage and ensure the success of the entire golfing program.  He and his staff ensure that each event is so well organized and managed that the golfers are barely aware of the work that’s involved, and are thus completely free to enjoy the competition of the game of golf.

The events that inaugurate the golfing season are the Spring Scrambles. This is a great way for new members to meet the older members and for older members to reunite with friends who may have been gone all winter. Both the men and the women have their own scrambles and then on Memorial Day we have a Mixed Scramble. We also have six Club Championship Tournaments: one each for the Men and Women, one each for the Senior Men and the Senior Women, a Husband/Wife Championship and the Junior Championship. FVCC has a strong Junior Golf program for our “younger” members. It is run by a dedicated group of parents and the Pro Shop staff.

There are other important and challenging golfing events throughout the season, such as the Men’s and Women’s Invitational Tournaments, the Men’s Member-Member two day tournament, weekly women’s events, Friday night Couple’s Golf, and a Tuesday night Men’s league.

Other Activities

In addition to the many golfing activities that are held throughout the season, there are many non-golfing activities that are enjoyed by our membership.  These revolve around our pool and lighted tennis courts. We have a junior swim team and a junior tennis team. Our pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and provides a cooling respite on some of those hot summer days.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and members of Flushing Valley Golf and Country Club, I would like to encourage you to join us and look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,

The President
